- Advantages
- Excellent adhesion to steel substrates.
- No offensive odors during application.
- USDA approved product.
- Installed by approved applicators.
- Volume mix ratio: 2:1
- Application
SteelPrime was formulated as a thin mil primer (3 to 6 mils) and can be applied down to 40°F (4.4°C). For best application results, precondition the material to between 80°F (37°C) and 90°F (32°C) if the substrate is below 70°F (21°C).; The above table assumes ambient temperature, material and substrate are equal and material is applied at 20 mils in thickness.; Neat system by squeegee and backrolling
- Limitations
Available only in normal cure.; Limited substrate temperature range during application.; Requires a protective topcoat; Not suitable in areas of harsh chemical attack.; Must be installed on dry steel substrates.; Steel must be cleaned to white metal.
