XtraBond® HT - High Temperature RTV Silicone Sealant
- Chemical Family
- Silicones
XtraBond® HT is a one part, easy to use, non-slumping paste that cures to a silicone rubber when exposed to atmospheric moisture at room temperature. This product is engineered to provide a durable, watertight bond when exposed to continuous temperatures ranging from -40° to 500°F on a continuous basis – while maintaining its integrity at up to 600°F for intermittent time periods. Its unique formulation acts as both a thermal and electrical insulator as well, so it is ideal for sealing around heating elements.

- Use Direction
For best results, prepare a clean surface; Cut nozzle to desired bead size; Apply with caulking gun, forcing sealant onto the substrate, then tool if needed; Clean excess material with mineral spirits or similar solvent
- Application Methods
- Gun
- Surface Preparation
The substrate must be clean, dry, frost free, sound, and free of any oils, grease or incompatible sealers, paints or coatings that may interfere with adhesion.; Do not apply if surface is damp or contaminated.; It is recommended all substrates are tested prior to application.; Primers are not required for most substrates.
