White Tea is a variety of tea originated in south-east China and obtained from the first leaves of the plant Camellia Sinensis, the same from which we obtain the best known green tea and black tea. Once harvested strictly by hand, the young leaves are subjected to a minimum working process consisting only of natural drying. This manual treatment combined with the careful selection of only the leaves has made this variety the most valuable so as to be called "the emperor's tea".
