Honey is mainly composed of sugars, in particular monosaccharides and saccharose, it contains also important mineral salts such as sodium, zinc, calcium and potassium as well as small amounts of vitamins belonging to groups B, C, E and K. The presence of polyphenols and flavonoids in combination with Vitamin E, gives the honey important antioxidant and regenerative properties, while its high content of enzymes shall ensure tone and elasticity to the skin.
