Vinkocide® MIT 20
Vinkocide® MIT 20 comprises solely 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one (MIT), adhering to the highest purity standards to minimize impurities and ensure optimal toxicological and technical properties. It penetrates microbial cells, deactivating vital components and preventing microbial adaptation through relatively unspecific reactions. Soluble in water and many organic solvents, it exhibits high physico-chemical stability and compatibility with both non-ionic and anionic surfactants. With a broad antimicrobial spectrum against bacteria, fungi, and yeasts, it proves highly effective in aqueous and water-miscible systems. Free from formaldehyde, formaldehyde releasers, halogens, phenolics, or heavy metals, it guarantees excellent chemical stability and long-term efficacy. While typically compatible with most products and raw materials, individual formulation testing is recommended. It finds utility in preserving a wide variety of aqueous products during storage and as a preservative for rodenticides, insecticides, or other baits.
