Morechem™ Saururus Chinensis Extract

Saururus chinensis grows naturally in Jeju island or some region of Jiri Mt. The name of it, 三百草, is derived from the fact that the color of its roots, leaves and flower is white. Leaves have originally green color, but 2~3 leaves closed to its flower turn white in the flowering season. It is known that the phenomenon is to attract bees and butterflies. After the flowering season, the leaves recover its original color - green. In oriental medicine, Saururus chinensis is used for treating swelling, jaundice and uteritis. It is reported that Quercetin and quercitrin, some kinds of flavonoids in Saururus chinensis, have anti-oxidant and anti-bacterial effects. Additionally, it supresses the action of tyrosinase in melanocytes and reduces melanin yield.
