Glucosamine exists as a component of mucoproteins and mucopolysaccharides in all human tissues and is found in especially high concentrations in cartilage. Glucosamine provides the building block for the O-linked and N-linked glycosaminoglycans that comprise the matrix of the connective tissues in the body. Comparative cell culture studies have shown that Glucosamine base, Glucosamine hydrochloride, as well as Glucosamine sulfate are equally active.
- Regulatory Information
Control points verified at ENI Internal Quality Control Lab and/or an FDA Registered lab in accordance with ENI product approval and testing protocol (ENI.SOP.H.1).
- Analytical Specifications
GreenGrown® 100% Vegetable Source Glucosamine is produced by a unique fermentation process derived from non-GMO corn, with further purification to meet the highest USP levels of purity (verified by USP-HPLC method) found in shellfish based materials.; It has a chemical structure that is identical to that derived from shellfish, but contains no shellfish allergens or other potential contaminants from industrial aquaculture and is Kosher certified.; The source of origin of GreenGrown® Glucosamine is verified by a highly accurate, patented (patent granted September, 2011) isotopic fingerprint analysis.
