Truco 4101 Polyurethane Seam Sealer
- Chemical Family
- Polyurethanes (PU)
Truco 4101 Polyurethane Seam Sealer is a technologically advanced, high solids, single component moisture cure polyurethane elastomeric sealant. In addition, 4101 is a brush grade sealant and an excellent all-purpose sealer to address roof leaks on most roofing substrates. 4101 is produced in an aluminum gray color that allows for faster cure times than white sealants. Mil for mil, 4101 provides greater protection against leaks and water penetration than most sealants due to its tenacious adhesive properties, higher tensile strength and low vapor permeability values. 4101 offers a wider window of application than water based acrylic sealants.

- Recommended Uses
4101 is specifically designed as a protective sealant during the detail phase of complete elastomeric roof coating restoration work.. This product is formulated to seal fasteners and seams and penetrations on a metal roof systems, seams and penetrations on single ply membrane systems and fill cracks and voids on older BUR systems. In addition, 4101 is an ideal all-purpose sealant to quickly and permanently seal leak areas on virtually any roofing system.
- Application Methods
- Brush
- Roller
- Limitations and Precautions
Avoid application over unintended areas; adhesive properties make removal difficult after product has cured on any surface. Avoid moisture contamination in sealed containers.; Store in dry environment between 55º and 75º. Keep away from heat, open flame or sparks.; Use only in well ventilated areas with proper protective equipment. Avoid breathing vapor or mist.
- Ready to Use Product Features
- Excellent Seal Properties
- Good Adhesion
- High Solids Content
- High Tensile Strength
- Low Gas Permeability
- General Application Instructions
4101 may be applied by heavy brush. Apply 4101 only to clean, dry, sound surfaces free of loose particles or other foreign matter.. Base coats MUST be applied to 4101 coated sections within 48 hours to insure proper adhesion. Apply 4101 at the maximum thickness of 32 wet mils to ensure proper curing.
