AFCONA 5030
- CASE Ingredients Functions
- DispersantWetting Agent
AFCONA 5030 is a cationic wetting and dispersing additive to improve the wetting of pigment surfaces, especially carbon black and organically treated bentonites. AFCONA 5030 is an additive for pigment dispersion. It reduces the interfacial tension between pigments or extenders and the vehicle. It stabilizes the pigments through electrical charge repulsion forces.

- Product Properties
AFCONA 5030 is an additive for pigment dispersion. It reduces the interfacial tension between pigments or extenders and the vehicle. It stabilizes the pigments through electrical charge repulsion forces. AFCONA – 5030 has the following special properties:; AFCONA – 5030 is a very compatible polymer. It can be used in all resin systems, ranging from nonpolar to highly polar systems; This product is especially recommended for artificial leather, PU shoe sole, polyurethane, and alkyd and polyamide for printing ink systems.; Due to its high amine value, AFCONA – 5030 cannot be used in amine sensitive systems, such as aromatic cure polyurethanes. In epoxy systems, it should be used only if the pigment is dispersed in the amine part.; Note: AFCONA – 5030 will become slightly hazy at temperatures below 5° C. This will not influence the performance of the product.
