Incorporation

AFCONA-7909 should be incorporated in the mill base before adding pigments or fillers. If used as a post-add, please apply high shear force to disperse the system.

Product Properties

AFCONA-7909 is recommended for unsaturated polyester, epoxies, and polyurethane resin systems. AFCONA-7909 has very good viscosity depressing properties in highly filled systems. It is very suitable for systems with high filler loads like ATH, or artificial marble systems.; Due to it high acidic functionality, AFCONA - 7909 also can be used in BMC systems as a viscosity stabilizer.; AFCONA-7909 also has very good wetting power to fiberglass.

Addition and Dosage

Pigments/filler dispersant:0.5 - 5.0% based on pigment/filler weight; Viscosity stabilizer:0.2 – 1.0 based on resin weight

Storage Information

AFCONA-7909 should be stored in a cool dry place. When kept in an original unopened container, it will keep up to 5 years from the date of manufacture. The expiry date is indicated on the container.
