AFCONA 7371

Chemical Family
Fluoropolymers

AFCONA 7371 is a modified fluorocarbon polyacrylate surface modifier with anti-foam and leveling properties, as well as better glassfiber wetting than AFCONA 7370. It is suitable for use in unsaturated polyester, PVC, epoxy, and polyurethane resin systems, and is highly reactive to the air interface. This modifier evenly migrates to the surface, providing good leveling and anti-foam properties.

Product Properties

AFCONA-7371 is recommended for unsaturated polyester, PVC, epoxy, and polyurethane resin systems. AFCONA-7371 has high reactivity to the air interface. It will evenly migrate to the surface to provide good leveling and anti-foam properties.; In pigmented systems, AFCONA-7371 will provide an even surface tension gradient that results in anti-floating and anti-flooding. With the fluorocarbon modification, AFCONA - 7371 gives better surface tension reduction properties that result in excellent surface mobility and substrate wetting.; Note: AFCONA-7371 may become slightly hazy at temperatures below 5° C. This will not impact the performance or quality of the product.

Addition and Dosage
0.3 – 2.0% based on total formulation.
Storage Information

AFCONA-7371 should be stored in a cool dry place. When kept in an original unopened container, it will keep up to 5 years from the date of manufacture. The expiry date is indicated on the container.
