Panax ginseng contains triterpene glycosides, or saponins, commonly referred to as ginsenosides. Many active compounds can be found in d parts of the plant, including amino acids, phenols, proteins, polypeptides, and vitamins B1 and B2. Up to 40 distinct ginsenosides have been identified. Fermented ginseng flower extract has more crude saponin than ginseng flower extract.
