SYNTHOESTER 1170 is a linear polyester containing hydroxyl groups. It is primarily recommended for elastizing synthoester combinations with aliphatic and aromatic isocyanate prepolymers. It has applications in metal coatings, coil coatings, industrial coatings, and can coatings.

SYNTHOESTER 1170 should be properly stored in tightly closed containers Synthoester 1170 has an unlimited shelf-life. When stored in rooms with temperatures below 10°C c louding may occur, which can be eliminated by heating briefly to 60-80°C

This Product is Soluble in ester, ether esters and ketones. Aromatic solvents can be used as diluents. Aliphatic solvents may not be used.

SYNTHOESTER 1170 has a Good flexibility and distensibility which are achieved by a combination with Synthoester 1120, which gives excellent results when coating highly elastic rubber parts and paper, cardboard, and glass, polyamide, nylon and cotton fabrics.
