ALCOM® PC 740/1 PTFE10
- Chemical Family
- Polycarbonate (PC)
MOCOM Compounds ALCOM® PC 740/1 PTFE10 is a polycarbonate-based material with 10% PTFE filler/additive system that provides improved sliding and wear. It is used in the automotive and machinery market segments for various applications, such as housings, functional components, bearings and sliding elements. For optimal processing, the pre-drying conditions for this material should be 120°C in a dry air (dessiccant) dryer for 2-3 hours, and in an air circulating dryer 100-120°C for 4-12 hours, depending on the moisture content, which should not exceed 0.02%. It is processed through injection molding with a melt temperature of 280-320°C and a mold temperature of 80-130°C.
