Arabian Chemical Industries ISOFIX
- Chemical Family
- Acrylics & Acrylates
Arabian Chemical Industries ISOFIX is a non- reemulsifiable liquid emulsion of pure acrylic polymer and modifiers specially formulated for improvingthe physical properties and adhesion of portland cement mixes. ISOFIX improves the tensile, flexural, adhesive, cohesiveand weathering properties of cementitious mixtures. It is non-yellowing and has excellent resistance to UV degradation, hydrolysis and most chemicals. Mixtures containing ISOFIX can be used above or below ground, exterior or interior.

- Packing
ISOFIX is packed in 5, 20 and 210 liter containers.
- Advantages
Non-reemulsifiable, pure acrylic polymer.; Superior adhesion to cementitious substrates.; Improves mechanical properties of cementitious mixtures – increased compressive, flexural and tensile strength.; Improves water, salt and chemical resistances of cement mixes.; Non-yellowing and resistant to UV degradation.; Imparts toughness and slight flexibility thus reducing tendency to crack.; Can be used above or below ground, exterior or interior
- Shelf LIfe
Twelve months minimum when stored in warehouse condition below 32 0 Celsius.
- Technology
- Ready-to-Use Products
- Safety and Health
ISOFIX is mildly alkaline and can be irritating to the eyes and skin. In case of skin contact, wash immediately with soapand water. If irritation persist, consult a physician. ISOFIX poses no hazards to the environment, and contains noflammable solvent.
- End Uses
- Floor
- Use Direction
Surface preperation - surface to receive polymer- modified cement mixtures must be free from dirt, laitance, curing compounds, coating, sealersrelease agents, oil and other foreign matter / contaminants. New concrete and masonry surface must be cured for 28 daysto ensure dimensional stability. Substrate should be fairly rough and absorptive. Substrate should be saturated with cleanwater at least one hour prior to application.; Mixing - mechanical mixing is highly recommended as this produce a more uniform mix than manual mixing. An electric drill fittedwith a paddle or a pan type mortar mixer is recommended. Small quantities can be mixed manually by volume.; Mixtures; Cleaning - tools and equipment should be cleaned immediately after use with water and detergent. Mixes containing isofix arevery difficult to remove when dry
- Suggested Mixing Ratios
Patching Mortar (10-25mm thick); Sand(0.5mm Max.); Sand(ASTM C33); (Note: PBV means parts by volume. Quantities for water are approximate subject to adjustments depending on fieldcondition and final consistency desired and actual aggregates used.
