AFCONA 5504 is a multi-functional additive that can help wet out difficult or contaminated substrates, lower the surface tension of the coating system, improve pigment grind efficiency, and prevent surface defects such as fisheyes, edge crawl, and craters. It also has great defoaming properties and, due to its hydrophobic nature, reduces the water sensitivity of the final system.

In addition, it has great defoaming properties, and due to its hydrophobic nature, reduces water sensitivity of the final system. AFCONA – 5504 is suitable for the following applications:; Automotive (OEM and refinish); General industrial coatings; OEM wood coatings; Printing Inks - PSA's; Pigment grind applications; Metalworking Fluids; Foundry applications; Cementitious systems; Note: AFCONA – 5504 is cut in propylene glycol. It can be supplied in other solvents as desired.

- Storage Information
AFCONA-5504 should be stored in a cool dry place. When kept in an original unopened container, it will keep up to 5 years from the date of manufacture. The expiry date is indicated on the container.
