SYNTHALAT F 477 is an air-drying medium-oil alkyd resin. It is used for fast-drying industrial paints with good gloss retention, like in machine and vehicle coatings. Without the addition of cobalt, it is suitable for radiator paints with a low yellowing tendency. It has applications in architectural coatings, industrial coatings, wood coatings and finishes, wood flooring, and metal coatings as well.

With SYNTHALAT F 477 it is possible to obtain synthetic resin enamels with fast initial and through-drying, high elasticity, high gloss and excellent weathering resistance. When oven-drying a 30-40 μm layer, drying degree "T4" (according to DIN 53150) is obtained after 30 min at 80°C Recoatability is obt ained after another 16 hours at room temperature. Then the film exhibits good resistance to commercially available self-adhesive tapes.
