Securoc® D10 is produced from a carefully selected, naturally occurring, platy sedimentary mineral that consists of partially hydrated magnesium-calcium carbonate. The standardized quality of Securoc® D10 is guaranteed by means of an ISO 9001-certified quality management plan. The chemical composition of the raw material and the finished product is closely monitored, and the particle size is kept within a narrow variation. It provides flame retardancy along with good smoke suppression and char formation, either by itself or in combination with ATH.

- HIGHLIGHTS
Securoc® D10 is very fine, platy-shaped filler with flame & smoke-retardant properties. In addition, this product works as an effective acid scavenger in halogen containing polymers. The flame-retarding action is based mainly upon the endothermic decomposition of metal hydroxide (heat-sink effect) and simultaneous release of water vapor and CO2. This reaction starts at about 240°C.. Securoc® D10 is used in applications where processing temperatures exceed 200 ºC, making ATH unsuitable. The main uses are in PVC and chloroprene wire & cable compounds and PVC/NBR foams.
