Films of DeCAL 4030 are clear, glossy, water resistant and flexible. Systems which are to be cured/dried below the minimum film forming temperature of the product will require a suitable coalescent agent to be included in the final formula, to ensure proper film formation.. Suitable coalescing agents include, Texanol, BDDA and BDG. Recommended addition levels are in the range of 1 - 3% on total formula. Further improvements in heat and solvent resistance can also be achieved through the use of a suitable crosslinking agent.
