Stanyl® TW371
- Chemical Family
- Polyamides
Stanyl® TW371 is a high-performance polyamide that provides unmatched performance and value for demanding applications in which superior heat resistance, design stiffness, wear and friction, and process flow qualities are required. This high-performance polyamide 46 is used for applications in automotive, E&E, gears, and outdoor power equipment. Since it retains its mechanical properties at high temperatures up to 220 °C, this makes it ideal for extremely high-performance applications, where it outperforms PPA, PA6T, PA9T, and often PPS and LCP. A suitable processing technology for the product is injection molding. Special features include being heat stabilized, wear modified, and friction modified.

Stanyl® PA46 allows for lightweight solutions versus metal and cost effective solutions versus PEEK. Stanyl® PA46 allows for reliable solutions due to its excellent wear performance with low or high friction, best in class mechanical properties (combination with high stiffness, good fatigue and ductility at high and low temperatures) and its chemical resistance against used greases and oils
- Shifter Fork Wear Pad Application Data
Wear life is better than brass components; Commercially 40% to 50% better than Brass alloys; Plastic wear particles do not harm bearings and other gearbox; Stanyl® TW371 is capable of withstanding high PV values
- Plastics and Elastomers Processing Methods
- Injection Molding
- Front End Accessory Drive Parts Application Data
Stanyl® PA46 allows for reliable solutions (Extended Tensioner Life, Reduced / eliminated warranty claims) due to its unmatched dry running wear & friction performance at elevated temperatures, its damping capability (consistent Frictional Properties Minimal or no slip / stick), its superior creep Resistance at elevated temperatures. Stanyl® PA46 allows for new posible designs
