ASCOTRAN® AL4 is a bio-based liquid, nitrite-free corrosion inhibitor preventing flash rust in all types of waterborne wet coatings. It is mainly used in waterborne coatings to eliminate flash-rusting on ferrous and non-ferrous metals during drying of the coatings, and as a corrosion inhibitor for metal packaging protection containing waterborne products.

Ready-to-use aqueous liquid; VOC-free; Does not cause water sensitivity in the coating; Usable in labeled* paints; Usable on ferrous and non-ferrous metals (aluminum, zinc, copper, brass); Compatible with a very wide range of binders (acrylics, stirene-acrylic, epoxy, PU, alkyds, ...)
- Storage Condition
Ideal temperature conditions: -5 to 30°C. Exposure : avoid direct exposure to sunlight. Important recommendation : tightly close the container after each use. Expiration : 2 years in its original sealed drum, in the storage conditions described above. With time, the color of the product may turn darker, but it does not modify its properties.
