AFCONA 2038 is a highly compatible defoamer that does not cause in-can haziness. It prevents the formation of foam and blisters during the manufacturing and application of solvent-based wood finishes. This defoamer has excellent compatibility properties, making it especially suitable for use in clear coatings and high gloss coatings. Additionally, it is suitable for use in applications where dry film transparency is essential, such as when applying thick clear coatings by conventional spraying.

Product Comparison: AFCONA - 2038 is the same category of defoamer as AFCONA – 2018, but AFCONA – 2038 contains silicone while AFCONA 2018 does not. In many resin systems, AFCONA – 2038 provides the same defoaming capabilities but gives better transparency than AFCONA – 2018.. In solvent-free epoxy systems, combining AFCONA-2038 with AFCONA – 2722 or AFCONA – 2725 will improve the defoaming effect tremendously.
