E-Tec 527-B
E-Tec 527-B is a mild water-based formulation designed to provide temporary rust protection for steel and brass surfaces when stored indoors. It leaves a dry, invisible film that will not interfere with subsequent operations. Excellent for shielding steel and brass surfaces during the manufacturing process. It has a mild cleaning action and can be used in tumbling or burnishing operations to prevent rapid oxidation of steel and brass surfaces.

- Applications
E-Tec 527-B is used at one (1) to four (4) fluid ounces per gallon of water and at temperatures from 65 to 180F. Elevated temperatures facilitate drying. The higher the concentration the greater the protection. The strength of the solution is maintained by periodic additions of E-Tec 527-B concentrate. The solution should be discarded when it becomes contaminated with soils. The solution does not have to be ventilated. Tanks and heaters may be constructed of mild steel. E-Tec 527-B is non-toxic and is essentially non-hazardous and does not require special clothing, etc. However, it is recommended that eye protection be worn while preparing the solution and working with the solution.
