ShieldSys™ 1400 is a high-performance, thin-film industrial coating designed to exhibit superior adhesion and durability on all metallic surfaces. The cured coating provides exceptional abrasion and mar resistance, high slip, and high temperature stability (>500° F). ShieldSys™ 1400 adheres strongly to highly polished and plated surfaces providing enhance release and lubricity, while not affecting the desired surface finish. When applied to a substrate, it exhibits outstanding anti-stick properties and has a very low coefficient of friction. ShieldSys™ 1400 develops a long lasting thin-film that is non-oily and non-migrating.

Once mixed in the proper ratio the product should be kept in an airtight container when not in use. Maximum pot-life of the mixed coating is 48 hrs. in an airtight container.

The precautions used in handling ShieldSys™ 1400 release coating are the same as those used in handling most coatings in industrial use. Contact with the skin should be avoided. If spraying, care should be taken to avoid inhaling mist or vapors, just as sprayed paint inhalation should be avoided.. If this product is exposed to extreme heat conditions from misuse or equipment failure, toxic decomposition products can occur. Always wash hands after handling ShieldSys™ 1400 coating.
