OPTIM® R-658

OPTIM® R-658 is a maleic anhydride modified elastomeric resin in granular form. It can be processed using plastics molding and extrusion techniques designed for polyolefins. The grafted polar groups on otherwise poyolefinic chains make it compatible with other polar and non-polar polymers. This affords many possibilities of extending base polymer properties like wettablity and toughening.

Additional Properties

Being elastomeric in nature, OPTIM® R-658 when incorporated in engineering plastics can lower mechanical properties like tensile strength, modulus & HDT, depending on addition level.. This product is not recommended for direct food contact applications.

Packaging Information

OPTIM® specialty polymers are supplied in pre-dried form in 25 Kg (55 lbs) PE lined, HD woven sack-laminated paper bags and 750 Kg (1650 lbs) FIBC's.. They should be stored in cool and dry place.

Processing Conditions

OPTIM® R-658 can be processed on standard plastics molding and extrusion equipment designed to process conventional polyolefins.. Maximum processing temperature should not generally exceed 290°C.
