For each version, doses can range from a minimum of 0,5 kg to a maximum of 2 kg per square meter of filtering surface; 1 kg is usually enough to obtain good results.. As soon as the product is dispersed into the wine, which is still to be filtered, it's possible to go on with forming the precoat on the filter elements.

HIGHLIGHTS

Fitofloc fiber has been successfully mixed with mineral silica, beforehand select for dimensions and purity, as to obtain a product which has a much higher retention power than pure mineral silica: its name is Fitomix. It's obtained with a particular moisturizing process and represents a perfect real fusion between Fitofloc fiber and the select mineral silica. In a water solution, even if it's very diluted, Fitomix shows no traces of sediments of the siliceous aid.; FILTERING PROPERTIES; This filter media puts together the retention power of Fitofloc fiber and the flow-rates of the best mineral silica. For this reason it's recommended in filtration of hazy wines with a too high yeast cell during the first stages of wine fining, thus obtaining very good results of clearness and flow-rates. The very good structure of Fitomix, binds well the mineral silica avoiding losses of this material in the filtered liquid during filtration. This reduces abrasions of the filter-elements compared to the use of only kieselgur or perlite.; Fitomix is available in three versions:; Fitomix Largo for coarse filtration; Fitomix DC for polishing filtration; Fitomix Super for very fining filtration
