Additol VXW 6360 is used for thickening and modification of flow properties of waterborne paints e.g. gloss paints, dispersion paints and anti-corrosive paints.; It enables the paint maker to formulate paints with excellent rheological properties, resulting in improved flow and leveling, film-build and brushability.; Combinations of Additol VXW 6360 with Additol VXW 6388 allow adjustment of rheology on adequate demands.; Additol VXW 6360 can be added directly to the mill-base batch or after pigment dispersion together with the other paint components to the letdown. To gain optimum gloss we recommend to incorporate Additol VXW 6360 after pigment dispersion. It can be added undiluted, but in some cases a pre-dilution with deionized water is advantageous.

Additol VXW 6360 is a polyether polyurethane thickener partly dissolved in deionized water and butyl diglycol, distinguishing itself by varied application possibilities.

- Storage and Handling
At temperatures up to 25 °C storage stability packed in original containers amounts to at least 365 days.. Synthetic additives containing water may freeze or get inhomogeneous at temperatures below 0 °C. By this, the product will not suffer any damage, but the necessary regeneration requires extended heat treatment at 40 - 50 °C with continuous stirring. It is therefore recommended to ensure frostproof storage of such products.
