Progress Chemical PR-100 Rust Inhibitor is a low alkaline water-soluble interim process rust inhibitor containing sodium nitrite. It is formulated specifically for ferrous metals. In addition to protecting iron and steel parts, it also is used to inhibit steel media for longer-term storage.

Use 1 to 4 ounces per gallon of water. Usage may vary depending on the nature of parts, nature of the process, physical characteristics, humidity, storage conditions, time requirements, and equipment used. This product was formulated to provide ferrous metals interim process corrosion protection for 30 - 60 days. The length of protection will vary depending on storage conditions humidity, nature of the part, alloy, and processes involved. It is not formulated to protect parts from extremely high humidity, water sprays, salt sprays, or direct contact with water or rain.
