Imper-Sol™ Silicone Roof Coating
- Chemical Family
- Silicon-based Compounds
Imper-Sol™ Silicone Roof Coating is a high solid, low VOC, one-part silicone elastomeric coating specifically designed for use in roofing applications as a protective coating over a variety of roofing substrates. Once cured this liquid applied silicone coating provides a durable, seamless, flexible, waterproof membrane that resists lateral movement, shear and will allow for normal expansion and contraction.

- HIGHLIGHTS
Mil for mil, Imper-Sol SI Silicone provides greater UV protection than similar silicone coatings and offers increased resistance to moisture penetration. Imper-Sol SI Silicone provides excellent long term protection through exceptional weatherability properties.
- Application Instructions
Imper-Sol SI Silicone may be applied by medium nap rollers, soft brushes or high pressure airless spray equipment. Apply Imper-Sol SI Silicone™ only to clean, dry, sound surfaces free of loose particles or other foreign matter. For best results, ambient temperature should be between 50-90°F. Higher temperatures will shorten the cure time and working time for proper application of granules before the material has skinned. Lower temperatures will lengthen the skin over, tack free and ultimate cure time. Sudden temperature declines may also result in dew formation on surfaces, which can prevent adhesion development. For best results, relative humidity should be above 20%. Lower humidity will slow the cure time significantly.. Apply Imper-Sol SI Silicone at the rate of 1.25 gallons per 100 sq. ft. Minimum dry mil thickness shall be above 20 mils. Two passes of silicone and a primer coat may be required for some applications and warranty programs. PRODUCT APPLICATION SHOULD BE SUSPENDED IMMEDIATELY AND OUR TECHNICAL SERVICE PERSONNEL CONTACTED IF THE RESULTS BEING OBTAINED ARE LESS THAN DESIRABLE.
- Limitations and Precautions
Avoid contamination in sealed containers. Store away from heat and sources of ignition. Do not inhale vapor or mist; do not get on skin, in eyes or on clothing. Refer to SDS for more information.
