- Usage Recommendations
Previn 1020 acts as a defoaming agent, destroying the foam immediately after dosing. Due to the silicas in its composition, it has a defoaming effect for a long period. Previn 1020 is recommended for matte paints. It is not suitable for semi-gloss latex paints due to a small drop in gloss, as Previn 1020 acts due to incompatibility. It can be applied in other formulations that want to reduce or avoid foams, as long as they are properly tested.
- Dosage Recommendation
The ideal dosage must be found through previous laboratory tests and depends a lot from one paint to another. However, we have observed dosages, which can range from 0.10% to 0.50% of the total ink, being the most recommended.
