Additol VXL 4951 N is preferably used in long-oil and medium-oil, airdrying alkyd resin systems. Especially good results are achieved in wood preservatives, vinyl resin paints, acrylic resin paints, nitrocellulose paints and chlorinated rubber paints.

Already in a small dosage Additol VXL 4951 N prevents foam formation and blistering during production and filling of the paints.

At temperatures up to 25 °C storage stability packed in original containers amounts to at least 730 days.
- Processing Information
Additol VXL 4951 N should be added to the mill base at the beginning of the paint production during pigment dispersion. As the effectiveness of the additive is very high, for a lower dosage a predilution with ketones, esters or aromates should be done.; The recommended quantity is 0.05 - 1 % Additol VXL 4951 N, calculated on paint. An overdosage should be avoided.; When adding to the ready paint sufficient shear velocity is necessary in order to prevent cratering in the paint film.
