Ketron® HPV PEEK
- Chemical Family
- Polyether Ether Ketone (PEEK)
Ketron® HPV Polyetheretherketone PEEK shapes, a carbon fiber reinforced, graphite and PTFE lubricated material that offers the lowest coefficient of friction and the best machinability of all PEEK materials. This black-colored material is designed for applications where low wear and friction, and high pressure-velocity capabilities are needed. Features: Carbon fiber reinforced with graphite and PTFE lubricants Lowest coefficient of friction and best machinability of all PEEK materials Excellent tribological properties (low friction, long wear and high pressure-velocity capabilities) Benefits: Improves the performance of service bearings, bushings, insulators, valves, and seals with its combination of low wear and friction and high LPV Long wear and high pressure-velocity capabilities make it suitable for wear and friction applications The carbon fibers, PTFE and graphite lubrication results in a Ketron PEEK "Bearing Grade" Applications: Service bearings Bushings Insulators Valves Seals Wear and friction applications Ketron® HPV PEEK is the perfect choice for those looking for a durable and high-performance material that can withstand harsh conditions. Whether you are looking to improve the performance of your service bearings, bushings, insulators, valves, and seals or need a material suitable for wear and friction applications, Ketron® HPV PEEK is the ideal solution.

- Engineering Notes
The stiffness of all PEEK grades drops off significantly and expansion rate increases above its glass transition temperature (Tg) of 300°F (150°C). A material like Torlon* PAI would be better suited for close tolerance bearings or seals operating at temperatures higher than 300°F (150°C).
