deVan Sealants 404.2 Thumbing Compound is a general-purpose product used to seal against water, dust, and air. It can also be used as a noise and sound deadener. 404 is used in the assembly or repair of automobiles, trailers, refrigerator cabinets, HVAC, railroad cars, pre-fabricated buildings, and a variety of other applications. It can be used anywhere a non-staining, non-hardening, non-drying sealer is required.

404.2 Thumbing Compound has good adhesion to commercially clean surfaces and does not affect plastic, rubber or paint. It can be painted without softening or discoloring paint and will withstand normal baking cycles. It is insoluble in water but soluble in hydrocarbon solvents.
