EBECRYL® 5129/20 HD is a hexafunctional aliphatic urethane acrylate oligomer that delivers a swift cure response upon exposure to ultraviolet light (UV) or an electron beam (EB). The cured films of EBECRYL 5129/20 HD demonstrate impressive characteristics, including high hardness, abrasion resistance, solvent resistance, and good flexibility. This makes it suitable for a range of applications in the field of radiation-curable coatings. Specifically, it finds use in wood coatings and finishes, as well as in furniture and industrial coatings.

Ebecryl® 5129/20 HD can be diluted with reactive monomers such as 1,6 hexanediol diacrylate (HDDA) and trimethylolpropane triacrylate (TMPTA). The specific reactive diluent(s) used will influence performance properties such as hardness and flexibility.
- Storage and Handling
Care should be taken not to expose radiation curable products to temperatures exceeding 40°C for prolonged periods or to direct sunlight. This might cause uncontrollable polymerization of the product with generation of heat. Storage and handling should be in stainless steel, amber glass, amber polyethylene or baked phenolic lined containers. Do not store this material under an oxygen free atmosphere. Use dry air to displace material removed from the container. This material should not be stored for more than 2 years after production date.
