CYCAT® 6020 catalyst is an amine-neutralized dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid supplied in isopropanol. It serves as a catalyst to expedite the cure of amino crosslinking agents and enhance package stability. Generally, systems utilizing a blocked catalyst will exhibit a slower cure rate compared to those with an unblocked catalyst. However, unblocked catalysts may compromise package stability. This catalyst finds application in clearcoat formulations, waterborne coatings, and solvent-borne coatings, with common uses in automotive OEM coatings, industrial coatings, and metal coatings.
