Burco® HCS-50NF is a high caustic stable, no foam, amphoteric surfactant that provides improved wetting and detergency to alkaline systems. It is recommended for food plant cleaners, brewery cleaners, metal finishing cleaners, bottle wash compounds, and industrial dish cleaners.

- Formulation Guideline
Burco HCS-50NF is freely soluble in liquid caustic soda (50% NaOH) and liquid caustic potash (45% KOH). Burco HCS-50NF is freely soluble in monoethanolamine. It has less compatibility with silicates and phosphates. Depending on the amount of Burco HCS-50NF added, it is soluble in up to 10% anhydrous sodium metasilicate. It is also soluble in up to 25% tetrapotassium pyrophosphate. In mixed builder formulations, the solubility must be evaluated on a case by case basis.. To modify formulations where Burco HCS-50NF is less soluble, lower the level of silicate and/or phosphate. Solubility can be increased by adding more alkalinity (caustic soda or caustic potash).
