CYCAT® 600A catalyst is an organic acid catalyst designed to expedite the crosslinking reaction of amino resins with polymers featuring hydroxyl, carboxyl, or amide functionality. This catalyst, soluble in various solvents, including aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, esters, ketones, alcohols, glycol ethers, and water, serves as a replacement for less soluble acid catalysts like para-toluene sulfonic acid, especially in low alcohol-containing formulations. CYCAT® 600A is applied in diverse coating applications, including marine coatings, industrial coatings, and metal coatings.
