EBECRYL® 895 is a multifunctional monomer that undergoes polymerization when exposed to sources of free radicals. It primarily consists of the pentaacrylate and hexaacrylate esters of dipentaerythritol. This monomer is especially valuable in UV (ultraviolet) and EB (electron beam) curable inks and coatings where enhanced cure response, hardness, and scratch and abrasion resistance are desired. End uses for EBECRYL® 895 include radiation curable coating applications such as wood coatings and finishes, furniture coatings, and industrial coatings. Common application methods for this monomer include Gravure coating and roller application.
