Binder & Resin

SETALUX® 1274 BA-70, featuring 4.2% OH (calculated on non-volatiles), stands as a versatile acrylic polyol, functioning as a co-reactant mainly for Desmodur® N. Primarily formulated for two-component polyurethane coatings, it excels in providing good light stability, chalking resistance, and gloss retention. Particularly well-suited for automobile coatings, this resin finds applications in solventborne coating, clearcoat, solventless coating, and high-solids coating scenarios. As a binder and resin in CASE Ingredient Functions, SETALUX® 1274 BA-70 is employed in automotive OEM coatings, automotive refinishing, and industrial coatings. The cured paint films exhibit a desirable combination of hardness, toughness, flexibility, glossiness, and high-bodied characteristics, coupled with excellent weather stability, light-fastness, and resistance to solvents and petrol.
