SETAQUA® 6899 offers improved mechanical and corrosion resistance. This coating performs better when submerged in water and has an opaque finish for increased water resistance. The product has a milky white consistency with no extraneous particles, which gives it a distinctive appearance. SETAQUA® 6899 can help you preserve your metal coatings against corrosion and provide a resilient layer that can withstand exposure to water. This coating is your answer to obtaining waterborne coatings' dependability and durability while satisfying the unique requirements of metal surfaces with a superior finish.

- Compatibility
In general SETAQUA® 6899 has good compatibility with other anionic and non-ionic WB binders but performance and stability needs to be tested very carefully, especially with respect to corrosion resistance. SETAQUA® 6899 is compatible with a wide range of anticorrosion pigments but stability in the final formulation needs to be tested very carefully.
- Labeling Claims
- APEO-Free
- Storage and Handling
At temperatures up to 40°C storage stability packed in original containers amounts to at least 365 days.. It is important to protect SETAQUA® 6899 from freezing; at low temperatures it should be stored under "keep from freezing" conditions.
- Special Properties and Uses
VOC-free binder; shear stable; very good corrosion resistance performance; high and stable gloss in salt spray, gloss reduction in humidity test; no need for anticorrosion pigments or organic adhesion promotor/ anticorrosion additives; broad adhesion spectrum on various substrates including metals, CED coated metals, plastics (PS, PVC, PMMA), wood and composite materials (HPL) - excellent mechanical properties; outstanding early water resistance; good blocking resistance, hardness; very fast drying; suitable for high pigment loading; economical grade for temporary corrosion protection
- Compatible Substrates and Surfaces
