Under-eye shadows and bags are mainly caused by an inflammatory reaction in three stages:; Stress (UV, pollution, aging, etc.) and an accumulation of iron (already existing under-eye bags and shadows) generate ROSs which trigger an inflammatory reaction.; The metabolism reacts to the inflammatory reaction by recruiting white blood cells circulating in the blood vessels to act at the site of inflammation.; The moving of white blood cells from micro-circulation to the inflammatory site on the skin requires pores to be formed on blood vessel wells. This mechanism causes a leak of plasma and of a multitude of red blood cells in the surrounding tissue.; The accumulation of plasma leads to the appearance of under-eye bags (edema), while the hemoglobin contained in the red blood cells colors the tissue. The oxidation of iron in hemoglobin increases the color characteristic of under-eye shadows.; MeiYanoL can prevent inflammation and porosity of blood vessels, reducing under-eye shadows and bags.
