Nyacol® K-Sol is potassium siliconate and provides an excellent water repellent coating for concrete and many other materials.. It is easy to use and coverage is good.
- Application Methods
Brush; Dip Coating; Spray; Nyacol® K-Sol can be applied by dipping, spraying or brushing.; Always test the concentration on a small sample of the material to determine the suitability of the specific use.; The surface to receive the water-soluble siliconate should be lightly dampened immediately prior to application.; The siliconate forms a permanent insoluble chemistry by reacting with the concrete.; Existing surfaces: This water-soluble siliconate does not wet surfaces that have been previously treated with siliconate or another water repellent treatment.
- Storage Condition
Nyacol® K-Sol should be stored in an airtight, sealed container at or below 25°C (77°F).; Should temperature drop below freezing, a crystalline structure may develop which will not permanently impair the effectiveness of the product.; When heated to room temperature, the solution will again become clear and ready for use.

- Handling Precautions
Nyacol® K-Sol is alkaline and should be handled with the same care as caustic soda.; If misting occurs, avoid inhalation.; Do not get in eyes or on skin and clothing.
- Applications
Nyacol® K-Sol imparts water repellency to a wide variety of substances and is recommended for use on concrete, bricks, sandstone, limestone and ceramics.. Supplied at a concentration of 32 percent in water, K-Sol must be diluted to a concentration of 3 percent or less before application.
