- Application
The ASCONIUM® 500 can be added to any type of liquid metal coating for industrial, professional or do-it-yourself use, primers or direct-to-metal systems. It has been specifically designed for water-based formulations based on acrylic, alkyd, epoxy and PU binders, both pigmented and clear-coatings. It is suitable for ferrous and non-ferrous substrates. The ASCONIUM®-500 is easy to incorporate into the paint formulation, without any pre-dilution into a solvent or pre-neutralization with an amine. It can be indifferently added to the mill-base or the let-down stage. A post-addition is also possible. In 2K Epoxy coatings, the additive should be added to the hardener part.
