- Incorporation
Afcona-3238 may be added at any stage of the production process. However, its defoaming properties require high shear force for proper mixing if it is added in the letdown stage. For easier incorporation, dilute to 10% in any solvent/s.
- Product Features
The percent of alkyl modification in Afcona – 3238 falls between that of Afcona – 3236 and Afcona – 3239.; Compared to these products:; Afcona – 3238 is best in slip.; Afcona – 3238 offers better compatibility than Afcona – 3236.; Afcona – 3238 offers better defoaming than Afcona – 3239.
- Storage Condition
Afcona-3238 should be stored in a cool, dry place.

- Applications
Afcona-3238 does not stabilize foam, so it is often recommended for the foam-sensitive systems listed below:; Solvent–free epoxies; High solid or solvent-free polyurethanes; Paints applied by curtain coater; Paints applied by airless spray application; UV curing systems; For matte finish coatings, the addition of Afcona – 3238 will help in the orientation of matting agents. In UV curing systems, this product further reduces gloss when added together with a matting agent.
