Did You Know?

The Sabiñánigo hydrogen peroxide plant, which came into operation in 1999, is capable of producing 12,500 t per year and allows Ercros to join the restricted group of global companies that have their own technology to manufacture this product.. The synthesis of hydrogen peroxide is carried out by the anthraquinone process, which act as carriers for the combination of hydrogen, obtained in the electrolysis processes of the same factory, and oxygen, these being the main raw materials for its manufacture.

Purpose

Part of the hydrogen peroxide produced is consumed in the Sabiñánigo industrial center to obtain sodium chlorite.; Pulp bleaching and deinking of recycled paper.; Synthesis of chemicals, such as nitric acid.; Water treatment and environmental correction.; Pharmacy and cosmetics.; Laboratory reagent.; Electronics, food and metal polishing industries.; Hair dye.; Biocides.; Cleaning agents.
