Hemp Seed Oil is often touted as a ‘miracle food’, but the undisputed truth is that this unique oil contains more than 75 percent polyunsaturated essential fatty acids (PUFA’s), featuring a composition of EFAs – LA (Omega 6) and ALA (Omega 3) in a 3:1 ratio. It also contains smaller amounts of Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA), and Stearidonic Acid (SDA), which are biological metabolites of the Omega 6 and Omega 3 EFAs respectively. It also has a low proportion of saturated and trans fatty acids compared to the total fat content. Hemp Seed Oil has a delicate, nutty flavor which is suited to a variety of recipes including pestos, marinades and salad dressings. It is also a common ingredient in skincare formulas because of its deep penetration and ability to nourish and moisturize the skin. Care is taken during processing to ensure that the highest quality product is delivered. Hemp seeds are carefully selected and then Cold Pressed with minimal exposure to heat, light and oxygen to ensure that the flavor, aroma and nutritional value is maximized.
