Product Properties

Mayosperse® 6000 is a cationic ionene-type polymer designed for use as an oil-in-water emulsion breaker.; Typical dose levels range from 30-100 ppm; the presence of emulsifying surfactants may necessitate a high initial dose.; Overfeeding Mayosperse® 6000 can re-emulsify the oil; jar testing is necessary to determine optimum doses.; Best results occur between pH 8.0 and 9.0; use caustic to adjust the waste emulsion to the desired pH range.; Following Mayosperse® 6000 addition, add 40-100 ppm of an inorganic coagulant such as aluminum sulfate or sodium aluminate to enhance separation. If necessary, add a high molecular weight anionic polymer to facilitate rapid flocculation.; Jar testing Mayosperse® 6000 is simple and can be accomplished via gang stirrer or shaker bottles.
