Lifocolor BLACK 3030SAN is based on various carrier polymers and types of carbon black. Alongside with the UV radiation effect and choice of carrier, the shade, color depth and color strength are the most important characteristics of black masterbatches. The color depth indicates the intensity of the black coloring. Intensity increases with decreased light reflection or increased light absorption.

Color strength is the characteristic of toning down white or other colors. The higher a color strength is, the more the carbon black will tone it down. Color depth and (theoretically) color strength increase as the size of parts decreases.; High-quality carbon blacks protect against photo-oxidative degradation.
