Sodium Nitrite is used in the manufacture of pigments, dyes, pharmaceutical, and agricultural intermediates. It is also used as a corrosion inhibitor, additive to antifreeze, and for odor abatement in wastewater applications. Treatment of Sodium Nitrite with acid affords nitrous acid, required for other industrial applications. CHEM Group's product is not sold into food applications.
