Fat is fed to increase ration energy content. Traditional fats are rumen inert due to esterification with calcium. This assures bypass of the rumen, but diminishes energy potency, the very reason for adding fat. MagnaPalm is pure fat, but still guarantees rumen bypass. This advancement is achieved by a careful structuring of the fat particles, producing uniform beadlets. Additionally, MagnaPalm is predominantly palmitic acid, which has been demonstrated to increase milk fat.
